"Valinor" members and I had a lovely chance to visit an interesting convention in a beautiful city near Adriatic sea in Croatia.
We went there as special quests, but we participated in a program with our workshops as well.
I decided to do something I love, but I've never had a chance to do it before - to become one of the Hogwarts teachers!
And I can swear that Ollivander himself showed me how to do it! I was teaching participants how to make a proper wizard wand!
World of Harry Potter was an inspiration for this convention, so I thought it would be a nice thing to do something connected to the theme.
And the room was crowded with young and elder wizardry students!
Generally, even though the convention is pretty smaller than Serbian conventions, it had amazing program and we didn't have enough time to see and experience everything we planned. Maybe next time
But, before the convention started, we found some spare time to catch a perfect light and make some amazing photos and memories that we will cherish forever.
And we found some new, but maybe a lifetime friends.
As soon as we arrived in Split, we had some rest and decided to visit a beautiful place called Diocletian's Palace which is an ancient palace built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian at the turn of the fourth century AD, that today forms about half the old town and city center.
Since it looks perfect for many Cosplays, citizens of Split where able to see Yennefer from Witcher, Thorin from Hobbit, Fulgrim from Warhammer 40k and myself as Lady Ev from Emerald city.
Many tourists wanted to take pictures with us which is something we are used to, but still it was interesting and fun.
On the second day while Bogdan was preparing for his "How I became Thorin" panel, girls from the crew went on the seashore to make some cute Disney/Slytherin photos. This attracted more visitors and curious people than we expected but it helped us to realize that some old wounds between Serbia and Croatia are finally healed.
This was such a lovely experience and we are heading next weekend to another city near Adriatic sea hoping that we will have a wonderful time at Istrakon, another fantasy convention in Croatia.
