Back in the day, MCM London Comic Con was really special for many reasons, but above all it was because I realized importance of visiting other similar events away from my country and my Cosplay scene.
Meeting with other Cosplayers can bring many benefits like finding new materials, techniques, ideas, but also finding new amazing and real friends.
After London, I was invited to Bulgarian Cosplay event called "Aniventure" and my role was to be a Judge on the Cosplay competition. It was a big thing for me and my brother, eventhough we are experienced crafters and we were judges many times on our event called "Tolkienfest". Event and competition were mezmerizing. Venue and number of Cosplayers were above everything I expected. Over 200 competitiors were involved in this, and we enjoyed each and every!
This year I organized my crew from Valinor (Tolkienfest organizers), Pumpkin workshop and some other Cosplayers like Ferasha and Zanten, and our Thorin took 13 dwarfs...I mean...people, to the Aniventure 2015.
As we were informed before, event was even bigger now. Venue had 2 stages for anime/manga and Cosplay, and other 2 stages for games. They had Cosplay competition for 2 days. And what I liked the most were workshops! I felt like a child trying to make a little monster out of Jumping clay or learning how to make Poro with needle felting technique. Becide that, most of the Cosplayers spent their precious times in photo booths! I'm really happy how my pics are done.
It's really nice to see how those events grow and how much effort organizers put in it, as well as Cosplayers put in their costumes and performances. My jaw dropped many times durring the competition and I was happy knowing that this year I can just enjoy Cosplay without having a pressure being a judge (eventhough it was a pleasure last year).
If you are a big Cosplay fan, don't miss this event because there is so much things to be seen and done.
And since we had our stand with merchandise, I did't have that much time to enjoy the entire event. Next time I will spend even more time on workshops or I will enjoy my time in maid-cafe.
And I had to pick a light costume, since I will have to be behind stand and with my custumers. So, I've been wearing a Cosplay of Mirka Fortuna from Trinity blood. That's my favourite manga/anime and I just love the costumes! (as much as I like the characters). And I'm pretty proud on this Cosplay. I've done it all by myself with lots of love and care! I can pack it in one bag and still look awesome!
